We have yet another awesome reveal today at Scrap & Music.

I played around with some different collections, mixing and matching colours and papers that make me happy.

Scrap Africa: His and Hers cards

It's reveal time at Scrap Africa today and what a feast for the eyes it is!!

The challenge is to create 2 cards - one masculine and one feminine. Easy, right? Uhm... maybe for a card maker. I've confessed long ago that cards just aren't my thing. It's probably the small size that intimidates me, being used to working on 12x12 and A4 or larger. That's the thing about challenges, I guess. We are forced to step out of our comfort zone and into new territory. This was definitely new territory for me.

So here they are: my masculine card:

And my feminine card:

Scrap & Music: Sketch #27 Paradise - Coldplay

Another awesome reveal at Scrap & Music today! I still have to pinch myself every time I see my name amongst the best of the best.

Our song for this week is Paradise by Coldplay. Lots of posibilities and another great sketch to work with.

Scrapping Everyday Miracles: May DT reveal

I found our challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles for the month of May very challenging: Renew - New - Rebirth
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

I decided to create a canvas featuring a photo of a butterfly, as butterflies represent change and new things to me.

There is also a layout sketch and a card sketch.

First reveal at Scrap Africa: Faces

It's my very first reveal at Scrap Africa and I am so excited!

This sketch was so challenging to work with as I don't normally work with circles. But all I can say is, Wow! A real challenge every now and then is definitely a good thing. Being shaken out of your comfort zone inspires you to think outside the box and create something completely different to your norm. It was exactly what I needed. I have been going through this phase where I can see a definite style developing, but it gets to a point where every layout starts to look just like the one before... and all the ones before that. This challenge certainly rocked me out of my rut. Thanks, Denise!!
