I joined the challenge at Kreative Koncepts this month because of the awesome sketch. Well, their sketches are always awesome, but this one is amazing.



I used a distressed background stamp around the edges and added more texture by randomly stamping with a diamond pattern stamp.
The circles were created with a paintbrush, some Dazzles and a circle stencil, as well as a Sew Stamper.



I kept the layers to a minimum on this layout, using only a few fancy border strips.

I love working with sketches! And every now and again a sketch pops up in my blog reader that I simply can't resist. This Stuck?! sketch is one of them. The combination of strips and circles immediately caught my eye and I just had to play along.

Another intimidating challenge (for me, anyway) at Scrap Africa this week. Create anything vintage! I have never really set out to create something with a vintage look. Distressed, yes. Aged, maybe. Vintage? I guess it's open to interpretation.

That being said, I always enjoy a challenge and this layout was no exception. I enjoyed every moment of choosing just the right paper and embellishments to create a layout with a vintage look, even digging into my 16-year old wedding photos. (Wow! We were young!)

There is a goooorgeous, awesome-to-work-with sketch up at Scrap Africa. I loved creating with this sketch for so many reasons: its versatility, the white space, the stamping, the ink splatters... a dream to work with.
