I Believe
This week I felt inspired to create something that portrays my faith. I grabbed a piece of leftover wood from when my husband built my scrap corner shelves (thanks, Babe) and started gesso-ing, painting and misting away. It was like it just flowed out of me and I couldn't stop until it was done. I am very happy with the end result.

I started off by painting a layer of gesso onto the wood and placing the letters “into” the gesso. When it dried I painted another coat of gesso followed by paint, of which some was dabbed off using paper towel. I basically painted the letters into the project this way. Next followed some masking, misting, stamps, etc. I painted a darker colour over the letters so they would stand out a bit more. Some flowers and other embellishments round off the project.
